| At Cotterill Farm we have five non-smoking and
pet-free holiday cottages for rental as self-catering (vacation rental)
accommodation, with late availability in the run-up to Christmas. Three cottages are for
four person occupancy, one, a new barn conversion all on the ground floor is
for three person occupancy and one, a particularly spacious one is for two
person occupancy. One of the four person cottages has two double bedrooms,
making it particularly suited for two couples.
The cottages are classified by the English
Tourist Board as 4 Stars but we do not rest on our laurels, we are constantly
looking to up-grade and improve both the cottages and the supplementary
services we provide. They ALL have colour TV with Freeview Sky, (four of the
cottages have two tvs and three cottages have full Sky film and sports
programmes) dishwashers, videos, dvds, microwaves, radios, hair dryers and all
other facilities appropriate to a high quality conversion. There is also a
wireless broadband facility . Standards of housekeeping are considered to be
second to none

The cottages are superbly situated very close to the
beautiful valley of Dovedale in a lovely part of the Peak District National
Park, between the highly acclaimed village of Hartington and its smaller
neighbour, Biggin-by-Hartington. We are extremely well placed for most of the
major tourist attractions of the area, such as Chatsworth House, Haddon Hall,
Castleton Caverns, the Dove and Manifold Valleys, plus the attractive local
towns of Buxton, Ashbourne, Bakewell and Leek. There is excellent walking from
the doorstep. There is a network of quiet country lanes in the immediate
vicinity, making our cotttages a superb base for cycling but in addition there
are three cycle trails, of average 17 miles length, within 3 miles, one being
accessible only a mile away.
Allthough most of our bookings between March and
October, start on a saturday and are for a week long duration, we also
take short breaks and bookings that start on days other than a saturday..
