Milking Parlour, the new three person barn conversion is usually the
same rental for three persons as four persons in the four person
cottage, and reduction of 20 pounds for two person
occupancy of this cottage i.e. it works out that for any given number
of occupants, whether two or three persons, the rental in the Milking
Parlour is 20 pounds more)
Just a reminder, as mentioned elsewhere, that in addition to the
cottages below, we have within the family, managed by our adult
daghter, three cottages in the nearby village of Hartington.(one 6
person - 3 bedroomed, each one en-suite
-in a picture postcard cottage between 500 and 700 years old,) and a
further couple of one bedroomed cottages, one sleeping two and the
other sleeping 3 persons (the latter in a family room)- all three
around our private courtyard in the centre of the village

The four person cottages are only shown as gone, when all three,
(including one cottage, not mentioned on our cottage details page,
standing apart from the others with two shower rooms, one on each floor
and therefore perhaps suitable for the less agile - details on request)

Where * is indiated on the
prices chart, this indicates that whilst our cottages (and also those
at Hartington) are all gone, we know of another cottage of four star
quality in the area, which we are pleased to recommend, with
availability, details upon request - either ring or e mail
SHORT BREAKS available in ALL Cottages between October and April . May
to September, we permit stays of one week starting on a day other than
a saturday, or of less than a weeks duration in just one cottage at any
one time, although which cottage that might be, varies. The
rates below are for stays in November, December January and February, other than christmas new year and february half term weeks and valentines weekend. March and April rates are £10 higher, other than the 2 Easter weeks Other times of the year

Low Season Mid Week in any cottage, i.e. stays not involving a friday or saturday night - 50
pounds less (i.e. four nights is the price of two weekend nights);
between 22nd December and 2nd January and again 16th and 20th February
and again the two Easter weeks, there will be some discount, but not
necessarily the full 50 pounds
The 2+ rate is for those wishing to leave any time up to 8.00p.m. rather than 10.30a.m. and is particularly suited therefore to
those wishing to stay for a full weekend.

and telephone calls can be made between 8.30a.m. and

the phone to be answered as if we are out and about, after 6 rings, the
phone diverts (at our expense) to one of our mobiles.

8.30a.m. and 10.00p.m., but not before, nor after!
