Places to Visit Near Cotterill Farm
Our cottages are perfectly situated in the White Peak
of the Peak District National Park. They are surrounded by open countryside, rolling hills, dales and within reach of various local attractions; such as the beautiful valley of
Dovedale. We are located between the popular village of
Hartington
and its quieter neighbour Biggin.
The varied landscape of the Peak District
makes it ideal for both the walker and cyclist - The National Cycle Network (Sustrans Route 54)
passes near to the end of our driveway along with the Tissington Trail which is located within just one mile. A well surfaced bridleway which walkers can use has excellent views and leads to the popular village of Hartington. Whilst the famous River Dove
and Dovedale are also within easy walking distance.

Also we are close to some great historic houses such as Haddon Hall
and Chatsworth House
- still home to the Duke and Duchess of Devonshire, set in a magnificent deer park and boasting activities for all the family, including a children's playground and farmyard.
We are centrally located to visit the market towns of Ashbourne, Leek, Bakewell
and the former spa towns of Buxton, Matlock and Matlock
