Additional Policies
EV CHARGING
Electric is included for your Cottage accommodation only.
We DO NOT offer dedicated charging points.
Therefore charging ANY *electric vehicle on-site or from your cottage is NOT PERMITTED under any circumstances.
This is due to Insurance policy stating -
That only electric vehicles may charged by designated installed charging point.
Any charging by a standard domestic household plug, will invalidate our insurance.
Inc* E- Bikes and E- Scooters.
Smoking is also NOT allowed inside any part of your Accommodation, inc stood on the door step or in communal buildings.
Please note smoking includes the use of vapours & e-cigarettes.
We do not permit anywhere within the boundaries of Cotterill Farm land.-
- Any Campfires. / Fire pits. / Fireworks or Chinese Lanterns.
- If you feel the need to bring your own bbq and you’re using disposable bbqs.
- Do Not place them on picnic tables unless a stone is provided & DO. NOT PLACE ON GRASS.
- Do not leave them unattended - unless completely cold & dispose of them responsibility .
- Incase of extreme drought or high fire risk alert a possible ban may be put in force.
- Peak District National Park actively discourage the use of disposable bbqs.
- Hot Tubs - Hired or portable are not permitted on site.
- We ask that you do not feed any livestock.
PET POLICY
No Pets are permitted except for dogs staying in Cotterill Barn
Day Visitors are welcome, but their dogs, are not permitted in any Cottage - In the grounds/ garden of Cotterill Farm Cottages.
No pets are allowed to be kept in vehicles, at any time.
Guide dogs and service assisted dogs are accepted by arrangement, therefore No guarantee can be given that a dog has not previously stayed in any cottage.
Cotterill Farm Barn - Dog Policy -
The only cottage that accepts up to two well behaved dogs & No other pets.
Puppies under 7 months old are not accepted .
Owners are asked to act responsible and make sure that you;
Clean up after your dogs AT ALL TIMES - on and off site.
Dogs are to be kept undercontrol at all times and NOT to cause any nuisance.
NEVER to be left unattended in either the cottage or the garden at any time.
Note - * Enclosed Garden, Dry Stone wall is low in places .
NOT to be allowed on any of the furniture or upstairs. Not to cause any damage, chase livestock or to be taken up to any part of the Farm and other cottages.
To leave cottage in good clean order as found.
No housekeeping deposit is taken, BUT if excessive cleaning is required, on your departure by having your dog stay - this will result in a charge being claimed.
Occupancy Limits
Occupancy is limited to a maximum of;
3 guests in The Millstone, The *Haystore .
No under *8’s years accepted in The Haystore .
3 guests The Milking Parlour
4 guests in Cotterill Barn, The Granary, and The Dairy
8 guests in The Farmhouse
** Stair/ baby gates are unsuitable for use on open tread oak staircases in The Farmhouse & Dairy.
The number of guests CANNOT BE EXCEEDED .
Day visitors are welcome, but they must not stay overnight, cause nuisance to other cottage guests.
They must also NOT BRING OR TAKE DOGS INTO ANY OF THE COTTAGES, The GROUNDS / GARDENS of Cotterill Farm or be left in any vehicle.
Any breach of the above conditions will mean that the entire party will be asked and required to leave immediately.
